What is microblading?
Microblading is the art of creating, enhancing, and crafting realistic eyebrows for those looking to enhance their natural eyebrows. The procedure is painless and semi-permanent as well as suitable for all, even if you already have full eyebrows.
Microblading uses a very tiny, fine blade to place semi-permanent pigment into the surface of the skin. The effect very closely mimics the look and detail of actual brow hairs, creating a fuller, natural-looking brow. This procedure does not require a tattoo gun and is quite different from a traditional tattoo in terms of procedure, permanency, color, detail, and overall look.
Overall, microblading is simply the best way to create natural-looking brows. It can also be referred to as eyebrow embroidery, 3d brows, or feathering.
How much does microblading cost?
Initial appointments for new clients start at $400. If you would like to add manual shading with your microblading, this would be an additional $50.
**If you have previous permanent makeup, an additional $25-$100 charge will apply for color correction.
Does microblading hurt?
Nope! Discomfort is minimal and we use 2 highly effective topical numbing creams and gels to numb the brow area prior to beginning, as well as throughout our time together to ensure a painless experience.
How long does microblading last?
Microblading is considered semi-permanent and so without any touch-ups, it will last for approximately 18-24 months. Please keep in mind that everyone's skin is different, so this will vary from person to person.
How can microblading help me?
Whether your brows are sparse or uneven, or you’re looking for a low-maintenance, polished appearance, microblading is the best and most natural-looking way to perfect your current arches.
Benefits include:
- The look of full and even brows
- Sweat and waterproof
- Camouflages sparse areas for a natural look
- Hides scars
- Reduces the time to get ready and apply makeup every morning
- Improves confidence
- Semi-permanent, which allows adjustments to your brow shape and color as you age, change personal styles, or as beauty trends change
How long does the appointment take?
There are several stages to each appointment which include; consultation, numbing, outlining the desired shape, customized color matching, and the actual process of microblading and any final fine-tuning.
Initial Appointments typically take 3-3.5 hours.
Touch-ups & Refreshers typically take 2.5-3 hours.
Will I require a touch-up after my initial visit?
Yes! The best results generally come from a two-step process. A touch-up is scheduled with you during your initial appointment, for a date that is about 6-8 weeks later.
Touch-ups allow us to perfect your dream brows by assessing how the color has settled in your skin, add into any areas that may have healed too light, as well as make any requested changes to your shape.
How often will I need future touch-ups/refreshers?
Microblading refreshers are only recommended when you need them. Typically, clients like to come in once every 12-24 months to maintain shape, color, and detail.
In order to keep your results looking as natural as possible, we encourage our clients to fade their brows out at least 80% before coming in again for a refresher so we don't oversaturate your brows with pigment. We value negative space because it allows us to create hyperrealistic results.
If youre not sure if your microblading needs refreshing then send us a message so we can help!
Is there any downtime after the procedure?
Nope! Redness and swelling are minimal at most, while the majority of clients have zero. You'll be fine to walk out the door and go back to your daily routine, including going to work. You'll look fine, don't worry!
What is the healing process like?
The healing process varies from person to person, but is typically about 2 weeks.
You are free to live life normally after your appointment as there is no bruising, swelling, redness, or any other major factor or reason that will affect your appearance or daily activities.
A few days after your appointment, your brows might begin to flake lightly. The color will then restore to a softer finish and your brows will take on a fuller, more natural look. Specific aftercare guidelines will be provided to you at your appointment to ensure that you have the best healed results.
Does everyone's skin heal similarly?
In short, yes. However, healed results are unique to each client and can vary slightly from person to person depending on skin type and aftercare.
In our experience, dry skin typically heals to a finer(crisp) finish, while oily skin typically leads to a thicker(soft) healed stroke. If you have extremely oily, "orange peel skin", microblading may not be suitable for you.
Results vary and can be attributed to a number of factors including; skin type, aftercare, and environmental exposure. Specific aftercare guidelines will be provided to you at your appointment to ensure you achieve the best-healed results.
I have previous permanent makeup, can you work on my brows?
In order to work over your previous permanent makeup, the pigment must be at least 50%-70% faded. This will ensure we're able to color correct the red, blue, or gray pigment throughout the brow. An additional $25-$100 charge will apply for this service.
If you're interested in booking an appointment and have previous permanent makeup, please send us a text message with a clear picture of your brows without makeup. We will assess your brows, and let you know if we are able to work on your brows.

I have really sensitive skin, is microblading okay for me?
Yes, microblading is a safe and gentle procedure that is suitable for even the most sensitive skin types. My technique is very, very gentle and the pigments and numbing creams I use are hypoallergenic and non irritating to even the most reactive skin.
I have a scar through my brow, can I still get it done?
Yes, microblading is a safe procedure even in an area that has a scar. We can strategically tattoo through the area to conceal the scar.
Are the pigments safe?
Yes! We only use the highest quality pigments and materials in our studio. Our pigments are vegan, cruetly free, and most importantly, safe and gentle for even the most sensitive skin. They do not leave any residual color when they fade, and instead, only get lighter and lighter versions of the original color until they are completely gone.
Is the studio and equipment safe?
Absolutely! Cosmetic Tattoo Studios hold one of the highest standards of cleanliness and pathogen prevention protocol, and we pride ourselves on having an immaculate and sterile studio space.
We only use single use, sterilized, and disposable needles and supplies. This means that each set-up for each new client is discarded safely afterwards. All sterile packaging is opened in front of you just prior to starting your treatment. After finishing your treatment, the entire set-up is discarded safely.
Our studio and microblading station is thoroughly disinfected before opening, as well as before and after each procedure throughout the day. To disinfect our station, we only use Hospital Grade High Level Disinfectants.
